The sixth World Kun Khmer Championship opened in Preah Sihanouk province with 125 athletes representing a broad international field. The competition ran from February 10 to 13, 2026.

Organizers scheduled about 50 events across amateur, semi-professional and professional divisions. Teams from Asia, Europe, the Americas and Africa illustrated the sport's widening international reach.

The championship also linked sport with Cambodia's coastal tourism. For the host country, the event was an opportunity to present both competitive talent and national martial culture to international visitors.
