The president of an India-based Khmer boxing federation told Cambodianess that Kun Khmer clubs were operating across 25 states after the network began expanding in late 2024.
Its next target is activity in 35 states and union territories, together with a larger athlete delegation at future world championships. Indian fighters also joined the sixth World Kun Khmer Championship in Preah Sihanouk.
Club numbers are an encouraging signal, but coaching quality, competition rules and athlete safety must grow at the same pace. Continued links with Cambodian trainers and federations will be important if the overseas network is to maintain credible standards.
